Using me as the onion

2. THE STUDY OF TIGHTNESS


A simian monkey -

A sonic sound -

A perambulating walk -

A circular round -



An ominous portent -

An ovular egg -

A maternal mother -

A left-over dreg -



A deserted absence -

A vacuumous void -

Black noir -

Annihilatedly destroyed -





3. LIFESAVER

the Rasputin to my Tsarevic

the Ariadne to my baffled Theseus

the Reagan to my Gorbachev

the Alexander to my knot of Gordium

the Deng to my prostrate China





4. FORWARD, MARCH !

Try to keep busy -

Don't look down -

Stick to the plan -

But I feel dizzy

Try to stay focussed -

Keep plugging away -

Stay optimistic -

But I feel hopeless



Per ardua ad astra !

Onwards and upwards !

Forward, march !

But to where ?






5. AESTHETICS SOLVED !

There are only two rules in aesthetics,

The rest are just imposture and prosthetics:

The first concerns the spectator,

Which is, 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.'

The second concerns the doer

Which is (there was never one truer),

'There's more than one way to skin a cat.'
